Imagine stepping away from screens, noise, and everyday distractions—and into a raw, shared experience in the wild. The Hårkan Connection 2026 is more than just a canoe trip. It’s a chance to reconnect, reset, and rediscover what it means to spend real, uninterrupted time together.
Hosted by local author, adventurer, and Human Performance Coach Phil Quirk, this guided expedition takes you along one of Scandinavia’s most stunning wilderness rivers.
The Experience
Over the course of the journey, you’ll travel by canoe down the Hårkan River, working together, learning new skills, and building a stronger connection with your son, daughter, or partner. This is about slowing down, being present, and sharing something meaningful.
Expedition Dates:
Saturday 29th August – Saturday 5th September 2026
You’ll spend five full days immersed in the wilderness, with travel days at the beginning and end of the trip.
What You’ll Learn
Along the way, you’ll develop
practical outdoor skills and confidence, including:
- Basic canoe paddling techniques
- Setting up a functional campsite
- Understanding river signals and clear communication
- Crafting items like wooden spoons and mallets
- Different methods of lighting a fire
- Learning about local flora and fauna and what nature can provide
